◆This is an antique hand-painted café au lait bowl by Shawl de Roua.
It is in very beautiful condition with minimal signs of use.
The gold decoration has faded slightly in places, but it is in very good condition for a bowl of this age.
There is a tiny area on the rim that appears to be a small chip in the glaze. (Photo 15)
There is a line on the inside of the rim caused by kiln marks during production. It does not extend to the outside and is not a crack caused by damage. (Photo 16)
There are minor manufacturing irregularities typical of antique ceramics. (Please see the enlarged photos.)
No other chips or cracks were found.
●Size: Diameter 13.8 cm x Height 7.9 cm
●Period: Circa 1878–1920s
●Crazing: Approximately 1% of the surface
(→Crazing refers to the condition of the surface glaze caused during production or over time; it is not damage (cracks).)
*Antique tableware may have kiln marks or uneven paint caused during the manufacturing process.
It may also have minor chips, crazing, scratches, wobbling, etc.
We make every effort to describe the condition of our items in detail through photos and descriptions,
but as it is difficult to document everything completely, please place your order with the above points in mind.
