◆This is an antique café au lait bowl made by Digo Ware and Sargeminne.
Vivid purple flowers and fresh green leaves are hand-stenciled,
and the variations in color and brushstrokes create a gentle, handcrafted texture.
There is a stain on the inside, but overall it shows little signs of use and is in very beautiful condition.
There is a tiny chip on the rim, about the size of a glaze chip. (Photos 6–8)
There is a hairline-like mark on the inside of the rim, but it does not reach the outside and is not caused by damage. (Photo 10)
There are minor manufacturing irregularities typical of antique ceramics. (Please see the enlarged photos.)
No other chips or cracks were found.
●Size: 15.5 cm diameter x 9 cm height
●Period: Circa 1877–1920s
●Crazing: Throughout
(→Crazing refers to the condition of the surface glaze caused during manufacturing or over time, and is not damage (cracks).)
※Antique tableware may have kiln marks, uneven paint, and wobbling due to the manufacturing process, as well as
small chips, crazing, and scratches.
We strive to describe the condition of our items as thoroughly as possible through photos and descriptions, but
please understand in advance that it is difficult to list every single detail.
