◆This is an antique octagonal dessert plate made by Clay U Montreu (HBCM era).
It is a beautiful piece with a clean octagonal form and delicate pearl decoration applied to the rim.
It is also known for being favored by Pablo Picasso, and its simple yet sophisticated appearance gives it a timeless charm.
It shows little sign of use and is in very beautiful condition.
There is a small chip on the rim. (Photos 4, 14, 15)
There are some very small stains. (Please see the enlarged photos)
There are some small manufacturing irregularities unique to antique ceramics. (Please see the enlarged photos)
No other chips or cracks were found.
●Size: Diameter 20.6 cm (side to side)
●Period: Around 1936–1955
●Crazing: Less than 1% of the overall surface
