◆This is a ceramic mold for “Kouglof,” a traditional pastry from the Alsace region of France.
The stork is a symbol of the Alsace region and is beloved as a bird that brings happiness.
Each piece is carefully handmade one by one using traditional methods by artisans in the village of Soufflenheim.
Because heat is distributed more evenly in a ceramic Kouglof mold compared to a metal one, it produces a baked pastry that is characteristically “fluffy” and “moist.”
Its rustic, warm texture is also part of its charm.
