◆This is a handmade ceramic mold for “Kouglof,” a traditional pastry from the Alsace region of France.
The stork is a symbol of the Alsace region and is loved throughout France as a bird that brings happiness.
Each piece is carefully handmade one by one using traditional methods by artisans in the village of Soufflenheim.
Compared to metal molds, ceramic Kouglof molds distribute heat evenly, resulting in a “fluffy” and “moist” baked pastry.
Instructions regarding bisque firing and other details will be enclosed with the product.
There are minor irregularities from the manufacturing process. (See photos 8 and 9, etc.)
There is a small area with missing color in photo 8, but it is covered with glaze and does not affect its use.
※Each item in stock is photographed individually. You will receive the item shown in the listing photos.
※We may have several items in stock, so please feel free to contact us if you would like to purchase multiple pieces.
●Size: Bottom diameter (outer diameter) approx. 16–16.5 cm / Height approx. 7–8 cm
●Condition: New
＊Soufflenheim pottery is handmade by artisans, so even identical products may vary depending on stock (color, pattern, and shape).
※Because it is handmade, the shape viewed from the bottom is slightly irregular and not perfectly round.
There may also be slight variations in firing and paint application from the manufacturing process.
＊Suitable for use in the oven.
