◆This is an antique dessert plate from the “AUBEPINE” series by Santaman.
The design, rendered in copperplate transfer, depicts the flowers and berries of the European spindle tree, along with small birds and butterflies.
The deep green design and elegant rim decoration make this a beautiful piece.
It shows little sign of use and is in very good condition.
There are minor manufacturing irregularities typical of antique earthenware. (Please see the enlarged photos.)
No chips or cracks were found.
●Size: 21.1 cm in diameter
●Period: Circa 1900–1930
●Crazing: Present over approximately 50% of the surface
(→Crazing refers to the condition of the surface glaze caused during manufacturing or over time; it is not damage (cracks).)
