◆This is a small antique café au lait bowl by Digoin & Saluggemin, titled “SOUVENIR DE LOURDES” (Souvenir of Lourdes).
The basilica of Lourdes, home to the spring whose water is said to cure all ailments, is depicted in stencil.
It is in very beautiful condition with minimal signs of use.
There is a tiny chip and some slight staining on the rim.
It wobbles slightly when placed on a flat surface.
There are minor manufacturing irregularities typical of antique ceramics.
No other chips or cracks were found.
●Size: 10.9 cm diameter x 6 cm height
●Period: Circa 1940s–1960s
●Crazing: Less than 1% of the surface
(→Crazing refers to the condition of the surface glaze caused during manufacturing or over time; it is not damage (cracks).)
*Antique tableware may have kiln marks or uneven paint caused during the manufacturing process.
