◆This is a large antique oval plate made by Shawl Giroux.
It is in very beautiful condition with little sign of use.
There are small stains.
There are small manufacturing irregularities. (Photos 8 and 9)
There is a very small chip in the glaze on the underside of the rim. (Photo 10)
No other chips or cracks were found.
●Size: 31.7 cm wide x 24.3 cm
●Period: Around 1878–1920
●Crazing: Present on about 60% of the surface
(→Crazing refers to the condition of the surface glaze caused during manufacturing or over time; it is not damage (cracks).)
*Antique tableware may have kiln marks or paint irregularities that occurred during the manufacturing process.
It may also have small chips, crazing, scratches, and other signs of wear.
