■This is a tea cup and saucer “Acorn” by Susie Cooper.
It features a cute acorn design, which Susie herself reportedly particularly liked.
It is in very beautiful condition with minimal signs of use.
There is a tiny chip in the glaze on the arrow-shaped rim of the cup.
The price has also been adjusted due to some unevenness on the foot (base) that dates back to manufacture.
There are no other chips or cracks.
●Size: Cup diameter 9.5 cm x height 5.7 cm / Saucer diameter 14.5 cm
●Period: Circa 1937
●Crazing: None visible
(→Crazing refers to the condition of the surface glaze caused during manufacture or over time; it is not damage (cracks).)
※The underside of Susie Cooper plates features pinholes (areas where the glaze feels rough).
These marks are not damage; they are caused by using supports to keep the underside of the plate from touching the ground during firing.
