◆This is a Susie Cooper "Purple Crocus" dessert plate.
It is a very rare hand-painted piece from the Gray era.
The pale blue background gives it a calm atmosphere.
It is in very beautiful condition with little sign of use.
There is some slight fading of the gold decoration.
There are small manufacturing irregularities typical of Susie Cooper tableware. (See photos 7, 8, 9, etc.)
No other chips or cracks were found.
●Size: Diameter 20.1 cm
●Era: 1929
●Crazing: Approximately 15% of the surface
(→Crazing refers to the condition of the surface glaze caused during manufacturing or over time; it is not damage (cracks).)
※The underside of Susie Cooper plates has kiln marks (rough areas where the glaze is exposed).
These marks are not damage; they are caused by using supports during firing to prevent the underside of the plate from coming into contact with the kiln shelf.
※Antique tableware may have kiln marks or uneven paint caused during the manufacturing process.
It may also have small chips, crazing, scratches, wobbles, etc.
We strive to describe the condition of the item in as much detail as possible through photos and descriptions,
but as it is difficult to describe everything completely, please place your order with an understanding of the points mentioned above.
