◆This is an antique octagonal dessert plate made by Clay U Montreu (HBCM era).
It is a beautiful piece with a clean octagonal form and delicate pearl decorations applied to the rim.
It is also known for being favored by Pablo Picasso, and its simple yet sophisticated appearance gives it a timeless charm.
It shows little sign of use and is in very beautiful condition.
There is a small chip on the rim. (Photos 2, 5, and 7)
There are small manufacturing irregularities unique to antique ceramics. (Please see the enlarged photos.)
No other chips or cracks were found.
●Size: Diameter 20.7 cm (side to side)
●Period: Around 1936–1955
●Crazing: Approximately 20% of the overall surface
