◆This is an antique pitcher made by A. Lebacqz & M. Bouchart in Saint-Amand, France.
It features the beautiful, slightly bluish-white hue characteristic of faience from this period,
and an appealing size with a nice presence.
The base retains the A. Lebacqz & M. Bouchart / St-Amand-les-Eaux Nord kiln mark.
A. Lebacqz & M. Bouchart was a pottery factory founded in the early 1890s in Saint-Amand-les-Eaux, a ceramics production area in northern France,
and this lion mark is one of the factory's signature marks.
It shows very little sign of use and is in excellent condition.
There are some slight stains on the inside bottom. (Photo 8)
There are minor manufacturing irregularities typical of antique pottery. (Please see the enlarged photos)
No chips or cracks were found.
It was filled with water for about 30 minutes to check, and there were no leaks.
When placed on a flat surface, it wobbles slightly when touched lightly.
●Size: Height 21.6 cm (measured by the handle) x Width 20.8 cm
