◆This is an antique dessert plate "FRAISE" made by Creil et Montreuil.
The strawberry relief is hand-painted.
This series was favored by George Sand (1804–1876), one of France's most renowned female authors.
It is in very beautiful condition with little sign of use.
There are some manufacturing irregularities along the rim. These are covered by the glaze and are not due to damage. (Same area in photos 6 and 7)
There are some small manufacturing irregularities typical of antique plates.
No other chips or cracks were found.
●Size: Diameter 21.1 cm
●Period: Around 1841–1876
●Crazing: Less than 1% of the overall surface
(→Crazing refers to the condition of the surface glaze caused during manufacturing or over time, and is not damage (cracks).)
*Antique tableware may have kiln marks or uneven paint caused during the manufacturing process.
It may also have small chips, crazing, scratches, wobbling, etc.
